autocad move command copies instead of moving

autocad move command copies instead of moving

I just upgraded to autocad 2009 from 2004. somehow during the upgrade or there about i picked up a peculiar problem. When invoking the Move command or the _move command I select the item and move it fine but the original stays put...in other words it copies instead of moving. Now I have tried deleting the move macro and installing the default and this does not help. Imk going crazy cos everytime i move anything...and thats so so often... i have to delete previous or i get copies all over the place. Please help if you can!!! i have even tried re-loading Acad but it seems the problem lives in the drawing or the pc somewhere?

  1. AutoCAD is still pretty much the default CAD program for most applications including architecture. That would be a great place to start.
